Flip for Art 2017
November 1, 2017, Salem Convention Center
Over 300 guests attended Flip for Art 2017, a fundraising event for Oregon Artists Series Foundation, at the Salem Convention Center.
Guests bid on art and fine craft donated by local collectors, along with award-winning wines from regional vintners. Attendees made their own art in the flip book photo booth, creating their own souvenir book to take home.
“This is the second year we’ve held this event and was even more fun that the first,” said OASF board president Jim Bauer, who underscored the quality of work being auctioned. “People who have donated artwork are making room for something new, or downsizing their collection. The selection is fantastic, with a variety of local artists and styles represented, attendees really enjoyed bidding.”
Several community members were recognized for their lasting contributions to Salem’s cultural landscape: artist Nancy Lindburg; art historian and Willamette University professor emeritus Roger Hull; and, philanthropist and historic preservationist Elisabeth Walton Potter.
Event sponsors included Sherman, Sherman Johnnie & Hoyt and Pioneer Trust Bank.
